Louis: Scheduling is one of the most difficult things to do in the upper grades. It is like a puzzle with various pieces held by key players. The problem is no one wants to give up their piece first until they see what the other person has. With this type of action research, you most definitely need to have consensus from the majority of the people involved. Good luck with your research.jv
ReplyDeleteWell done, as I'd expect...but I would try to add more resource people (collaborators) as you go along because that will give you a better chance for positive outcomes. Just one structural comment: read your goal statement aloud. There's a grammatical problem that needs a little revision...for instance you could just remove the word "what" but you might want to arrange the statement another way. Also, remove the slash at the end of statement.
ReplyDeleteWorking in a high school setting myself, I know firsthand that those teachers are very resistant to change. It will be interesting to see what they think/feel about the double blocking. Sometimes they are surprised by some things that are implemented.....they think it's not a good idea on paper, but then once they try it in reality, they actually see the positives.
